Missing Peace?

My Post (1)

The month has flown by hasn’t it. I hope none of us are missing peace? I know if start to, it’s the place I go right back to. While we look forward to a new study, as I always try to do, I am including verses to keep close, study or memorize. Or go back through the month, I did this on October 3rd, but these are some personal favorites.

Peace I leave to you as a gift of mind and heart, my peace I give you, not as the world gives you, give I to you. Let not your heart be troubled or afraid. John 14:27

This has always been our foundational verse as the Lord has impressed it upon my heart year after year as of late. I suppose He can’t emphasize enough the power of His peace.

I will bring health and healing and reveal and abundance of peace and truth. Jeremiah 33:6

Peace and healing go together, in fact, I believe you may even have to have His peace in your heart to receive it. it is what he told the woman with the issue of blood, to go in peace, her faith had made her whole, then He raises a girl from the dead, this time, He is saying not to fear. Obviously, peace and fear don’t go together.

He will keep us in perfect peace who mind is stayed on Him. Isaiah 26:3

It is so important to keep our minds on the Lord as His peace, even if things around us are in disarray or even chaotic, with the holidays approaching and the uncertainty of the times we live in. His peace is certain and sure.

We can certainly read peace about in Isaiah, not only does he prophesy His birth and call Him, the Prince of Peace, chapter 53 expounds on the crucifixion and that He wore those thorns, a crown of them for our peace. The Michael Card song, Why? says that a crown of thorns is all the world has to give those who love. Maybe so but He took it.

And I love those double portions and promises, it is beautiful that Micah 5:5 records that, ” He will be our peace. ” Micah was prophesying about Israel, being free of Babylonian captivity. He is mentioned in Ephesian 2:14, with the double promise, ” He, Himself, is our peace. ” And the beauty of that is that is only four verses away from, 2:10, that we are His handiwork or masterpiece, shouldn’t God’s work of art exhibit peace?

I trust this has helped someone, and I speak His peace to you, it is the place to go, back to the Word, if you are missing peace.
