His Gospel Of Peace

My Post (5)

And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!” Romans 10:15

In some of my stories, I write about a nun who wears combat boots, as a friend of RAF WWII flyers. I suppose combat boots might qualify for some of our battles as a Christian, as we trample over the enemies in Psalm 91 and Luke 10:17 says we will not be harmed, We are to be shod with the gospel of peace, so what about bridal shoes instead?

We are victorious as He fights our battles, while we are still. Exodus 14:14. And what about the Psalm 46:10, why can’t we just be still and know He is God? It is a way to experience His peace. You have to have quiet, a still place of  calm, for your mind and heart, even body to rest.

I hear a lot about warrior brides and that is true we have to stand up for Jesus, take the authority He took back from the enemy, but while we have a warrior mentality, it can quickly wear out, burn out, not the Spirit in us, but ours, and that is why He wants resting  warrior brides. Have we truly entered the rest of Hebrews 4? Received the Lord’s offer to become unburdened and heavy laden? His yoke is easy and light. Matthew 11:28-30

For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. Ephesians 6:15 NLT

There are lots of translations of that but it still has to do with the readiness of the gospel and peace, the whole armor is in Ephesians 6. I grew as a believer to think that armor was too heavy for me, like Saul’s for a young David. And I was right in a way, you grow into it. That armor is heavy and is the power and peace of the Holy Spirit. That is why you may have power after He comes upon you, cloths you His righteousness, the only way we would be, but He remains with you as the sweet peace of Jesus more and more as your shoes carry the gospel of peace.
