What Angels Are And Aren’t

My Post (4)

Angels are created beings, spirits, created by God, they were created already when He started the earth, they are not people who die, contrary to popular belief, and if you disagree, you are free to do so and I mean no offense,  it is just not Biblical, although they could be in the cloud of witnesses, but believers in heaven would not be enjoying heaven knowing our problems.

Job 38:7 says that angels were there, when the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy. It might be mere speculation but I was thinking that that could have even been Jesus and the angel Lucifer, before his fall, both are referred to as morning stars. Just a thought, I am not one of those people who think they were brothers or something, and Jesus is always superior, perhaps, even Gabriel, and Michael could be morning stars, we will find out one day from someone a lot wiser than I.

1 Corinthians 13:12 references being fully known in heaven. Would you recognize someone you knew but had not seen in a while and not knowing they were saved as an angel? I really do get it that people like to think that babies or pets are angels. I understand grief.

Angels are called cherubic, and no matter how many cute and cherubic children I collect from old postcards and little figurines, cherubs are not necessarily cherubic, the cherub that guarded the entrance to Eden after the fall had a flaming sword.

Angels are commanding presences aren’t they not just cuties on the mantle, or on Valentines. Angels shut the mouths of lions to save Daniel. Angels are usually classified in rank, the Catholic church recognizes nine with guardians the most common.

While there are seraphim, cherubim and thrones, dominions, virtues and powers, principalities and archangels, on both sides, the Lord is far above and nothing separates us from His love. Angels are assigned over places people, countries, angels have specific duties.

Even though I like to write poetry, including lines like, ” they paint the sky blue with their wings and hang the stars at night “, they have very important assignments, even if they do tickle babies, and might play fetch with our pets. We never want to lose sight of their real work and ministry in the earth, and we don’t want to go so far afield from the Word of God as to false practices or new age.

Angels protect believers from everything like storms to flus, those serpents and scorpions and plagues. They are on guard when God commands them as you pray Psalm 91. They are in the midst of storms and violence, riots, and wrecks.

You don’t need any formula, just the salvation of Jesus to know that His angels are looking out for you. It would be amazing how many times they have intervened on our behalf. And guess what, we get to judge them in heaven.

The verse is about judgements and settling disputes among believers without court or lawsuits. Another verse about saints, people who truly believe in Christ.

Don’t you realize that we will judge angels? So you should surely be able to resolve ordinary disputes in this life. 1 Corinthians 6:3

Angels do what God commands or else they would be fallen. They are interested in salvation because they don’t need saving, fallen ones and the devil will never be. They may or may not have wings or be in human form, that was how they came and taught in the Old Testament and how many fell.

Let me pray for you that angels will minister to you and that the Holy Spirit gives you wisdom concerning them, that you are able to rightly divide in a time there is a lot of deception, in Jesus name.

Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation? Hebrews 1:14

  1. So many people believe that we turn into angels when we die and it gives them false hope.
So many people think that angels are these fragile feminine creatures but from what I know they are more like fierce warriors.
