You can tell I have been studying Hebrew some more, I don’t know how to speak much or write it, it is just lot of fun to me, I included this verse and a couple of words, ot – zar- ot , for treasue and one of my favorites, lev for heart.
Jesus really is our treasure and the Bible has a lot to about treasure, the parable of the pearl of great price, I used to think it was Jesus, heard it taught that way, but He is the one who buys the field, the earth, He gave His all and we are the pearls, His figurative bride, the church, God has the strength of a man yet motherly love, and we know the church includes men and women.
So here are few verses and we do want our treasure to be in heaven, He is and is coming soon.

For I want you to know how great a struggle I have for you and for those at Laodicea and for all who have not seen me face to face, that their hearts may be encouraged, being knit together in love, to reach all the riches of full assurance of understanding and the knowledge of God’s mystery, which is Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. Colossians 2:1-3
Proverbs also refers to wisdom, as a treasure. The rich young ruler that Jesus looked at and love, could sell all He had, though Jesus may not have wanted Him to, He wanted him to trust in Him rather than his own ability.
None of us will ever have lasting treasure if we rely on ourselves, we overcome by our testimony and the blood of the Lamb, something He did was to finish the work on the cross, making Him our eternal treasure as we believe on Him.

I thought a lot about what I treasure and hold dear, some of it, like Mary, is just pondered in my heart, and other things are stored up, and taken out from time to time. Jesus is not like though He is near and dear all the time.
