As we are using A Breath Of Spring this April, perhaps, this girl in the sunlight is waiting for a drizzle, a breath of mist. You know, many people can breathe cooler air, especially with medical conditions and hospitals are kept cool, though I have recently found it is important to keep older people warmer so they do get hypothermia. I am not giving medical advice, only teaching His Word and I will never tell you not to take medication, but you can try prayer breathing and keep His healing words in you r mind and heart.
I was out this afternoon for breakfast that was really brunch, I was going shopping but it is a cloudy, gray day, the rain is a drizzle, a mist and the a little more steady so I am home sooner. But I can breath in the mist, the drizzle, the cool rainy day that is just the opposite of the stifling, hot and oppressive summer heat that chokes you in July and August.
As believers, hopefully, you have heard of how God followed the Israelites in a cloud by day and a mist of sorts, but a pillar of fire at night. We should be able to breath better in Jesus, more freely as He is the breath of life, but persecutions and afflictions arise an we need His Spirit to breath on us and for us. We are studying breath, wind and Spirit, and here is the word for cloud in Hebrew, timarah, like palm tree. The actual phrase is pillar of cloud like a column.
I do believe this could have very will been Jesus, perhaps, as the Angel Of The Lord. A palm, like the leaves tossed before Him a reference to peace. And the very Prince of Peace, Himself, a cloud, pillar or mist, before them and a fire by might taking a place behind them to protect then from enemies, it is no different for believers today as we are to be led by the Spirit and keep in step with Him.
I wanted to use the cloud, the mist, the dews, rains and outpouring of His Spirit as imagery to a breath of mist, that we might breath easier in Him and His love. Here are a few verses, and there is also reference to judgement here, s obedience is better, don’t refuse Him as Lord as a unbeliever or His rest as one.
Let my taching fall like rain and my speech settle like dew, like gentle rain on new grass, like showers on tender plants. Deuteronomy 32:2
May He be like rain that falls on the mown grass, like showers that water the earth! Psalm 72:6
He will come to us like the rain Hosea 6:3
For the rain He sends demonstrates his faithfulness. Once more the autumn rains will come, as well as the rains of spring. Joel 22:3
Ask rain from the LORD in the season of the spring rain, from the LORD who makes the storm clouds, and he will give them showers of rain, to everyone the vegetation in the field. Zechariah 10:1
Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. James 5:7
