Walking Worthy Of His Rest

Many women struggle with not feeling worry, for some it is their past before being saved, for others like myself, it is just trying to be a good Christian, when being the daughter of the King, accepted into the Beloved, Jesus, and being lavished with His love and grace through salvation should be enough.

I can promise you that none of us are worthy. Only Jesus is worthy to open the Book of Life, the only sacrifice that was good enough, once and for all who would believe, He made us worthy, and we should walk worthy of Him and do so by entering His rest. I have to admit while even writing this series the past few days have brought me to my knees and there have been some tears, still, I am being still, letting Him fight for me, resting in His promise, so what if the enemy challenges it, submit to God and he will flee, he is afraid you will know the truth that sets you free and devastates him.

For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the LORD our God for ever and ever. Micah 4:5

Nevertheless, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Then, whether I come and see you or only hear about you in my absence, I will know that you stand firm in one spirit, contending side by side for the faith of the gospel, without being frightened in any way by those who oppose you. This is a clear sign of their destruction but of your salvation, and it is from God. Phillipians 1:27, 28

As a prisoner in the Lord, then, I urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling you have received. Ephesians 4:1

A prayer to be filled…..so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord and may please Him in every way, bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God. Colossians 1:10

Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, ( unbelievers ) redeeming the time. Colossians 4:5

Therefore, just as you have received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to walk in Him.  Colossians 2:6

We pleaded with you, encouraged you, and urged you to live your lives in a way that God would consider worthy. For He called you to share in His Kingdom and glory. 1 Thessalonians 2:12

They have testified to the church about your love. You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God. 3 John 1:6

While walking worthy may not be an exact quote, Jesus explained the idea in a way when He said…And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it, but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. Matthew 10:13, so you see since we are temples or houses of the Spirit, His peace can rest on us because we are worthy.

Personally, I like this translation as opposed to temple, Don’t you yourselves know that you are God’s sanctuary and that the Spirit of God lives in you? 1 Corinthians 3:16

This ties in perfectly with our study on entering His rest, remaining in the perpetual Sabbath rest, going away with Jesus, in communion with the Spirit, to a secret place, a resting place that we choose forever in Him, it is where we want to live, and will forever as a believer, nothing we do makes us righteous or worthy. Only His blood and sacrifice did that, Galatians 3:13/ He took our place to make us worthy.

As a believer in Jesus, having truly repented and desiring to walk with Him, we can walk worthy and we are worthy of His rest. And His peace, is a gift. John 14:27

After I had posted this, in the middle of the night I remembered the centurion, who thought he was unworthy, and told Jesus to speak the word only.
