Who am I that a king would bleed and die for? Words from a song. I was just a girl, a woman, a daughter who has discovered that she isn’t a nobody, that she is a good writer and so much more. The accuser has lost, again. I am a Daughter of the King. Who am I? I have no power, no super strength, no panacea for the world, and yet I do, because I have Him and He loves me. I have Jesus and He loves me, I could never love Him as much as He loves me.
…..my speech and my message were not in plausible words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men but in the power of God. 1 Corinthians 2:4,5
Paul is preaching and admits being afraid, but does it by the Spirit. We have all heard, ” Do it afraid. ” That is not an always easy thing to do in the natural, it takes growing in grace and reliance on the Spirit, and obedience. We can get so wearied by spiritual attacks, casting down imaginations, just life in general, that is why we have to rest in Him and in His power, we are not the ones who save, heal or deliver anyway. He doesn’t need us, He is God, but He allowed us into the beloved and let us do works He prepared by grace.
I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, first to the Jew, then to the Greek. Romans 1:16
And those He predestined, He also called; those He called, He also justified; those He justified, He also glorified. What then shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all, how will He not also, along with Him, freely give us all things? Romans 8:30-32
But to those called by God to salvation, both Jews and Gentiles, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. 1 Corinthians 1:24
For the kingdom of God does not consist in talk but in power. 1 Corinthians 4:20
And God raised the Lord and will also raise us up by His power. 1 Corinthians 6:14
We faithfully preach the truth. God’s power is working in us. We use the weapons of righteousness in the right hand for attack and the left hand for defense. 2 Corinthians 6:7
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 1 Peter 1 3-5.
I have to admit being a little afraid of God but I think it is more reverence and respect. I cannot imagine people intentionally defying Him, but I see it every day, and truthfully I was afraid of the power of the Holy Spirit, tongues and gifts, especially when I was younger but now I rely on Him, and tongues is a powerful gift and has been my salvation many times, it is a resting place, a secret place, the Holy Spirit gives you rest when it is impossible for you to in the natural, what is impossible for us is not for Him.
And Romans 8:31 says it all, He is for us a s believers. Who am I? Nobody and nothing without Him. powerless, but God sees it differently. He saw A Daughter’s Gift of Love.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. Acts 1:8
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Ephesians 6:10
