Resting Brings Healing

Resting brings healing, the Isaiah 53 kind, the kind Jesus gave to those who asked and believed. But this rest is not just rest, taking it easy after being sick or getting out of the hospital, it is the rest entered into in Hebrews 4 and offered by Jesus, it was offered by God and refused back in Isaiah 26.

This rest is confidence in Him as Lord, like Jesus was asleep in boat during a storm, He trusted the family and we have to Him, and by His Spirit, He will give us rest, rest that brings His peace, John 14:27 and calm, a settling of the mind, will and emotions of the soul.

This rest, should you come to understand it and enter, will rid you of anxiety, cause your troubled heart not to be, the perfect love of God to come and rest on you to cast out fear and torment. Jesus once healed a man who told everyone though Jesus asked Him not. It caused crowds to gather, it was not that He did not want people to be healed, He probably needed His rest and did not want His oppressors to be railing and accusing Him, even wanting Him killed before He was to be crucified.

Jesus had reasons for everything He did. I prayed for healing and started calling it forth, according to Mark 11:23, 24 and as God calls life in Romans 4:17. I got a lot of flack from a lot of people, just because they didn’t see it, they didn’t believe it. As it turned out, I needed more healing than I ever though, and being hurt even wounded by other Christians, as well as the unbelieving who refuse to hear about His love, caused me to need even more.

I had to go a way with the Lord and rest all the more. I guess I never wanted to settle for just muddling through and maybe I will die and go to heaven someday, God willing, and I am not making fun, it is what some people say. I wanted the bless His death brought for me, I have literally been in pain and thank Him for taking for me and had it dissipate and gone to sleep. As opposed to nights of agony and no sleep, I am glad I chose Abraham’s kind of faith and enter His rest no matter what it looked like. Healing was there, rest gives birth to it in the Spirit, conquering the onslaught of spiritual warfare hurled against us for daring to believe in Him.

You may have to come tor terms with some of your beliefs and rethink what you have been taught or perhaps, not taught. But hear are some healing verses and I hope you find both healing and rest.

But He was pierced for our transgressions;
He was crushed for our iniquities;
upon Him was the chastisement that brought us peace, ( or punishment )
and with His wounds we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

The centurion answered, “Lord, I am not worthy to have You come under my roof. But just say the word, and my servant will be healed. Matthew 8:8

Take heart daughter, your faith has made you well. Matthew 9:22

I can do all things through him who gives me strength. Phillipians 4:13

But the Lord stood with me and gave me strength. 2 Timothy 4:17

I copied these from a previous post, but I know some may not have the time they would like to look up everything, even with technology.   None of us should be that busy, should we. He is so much more important than anything or anyone, and He gives us rest and healing.
