What else could we talk about as we are getting near the end of our study about offerings but to offer Jesus to others? I do through my writing mostly, though I have been a witness. I still find that a lot of people are unwilling to accept His love and healing and that is a shame.
I have seen, in my own family, attempts to talk about healing and spiritual gifts fall on deaf ears. I have learned better by the Spirit of His grace who I can talk to and who may not be as receptive. It is like Jesus said, He makes us fishers of men. While some will always bait the hook and want to trap you, you have to watch out for that, there will be opportunities to share and the Spirit will lead you.
And thankfully, blogging has been a blessing. I have had very few rude comments and most just bless me and pour the oil of His joy over my soul. I praise Him for that, sometimes writing is my salvation when I can’t talk to people like I would like to, I write mainly to women but a few guys have read some posts, one even saying it was a miracle to find it, and one sharing his angel story. Thanks, guys!
We all have different ways of offering Jesus as we offer ourselves living sacrifices and worship Him, whether baking cookies, working in the church nursery, or being at the pulpit, there are many ways to offer Him to lost and dying world and it is, the earth is groaning and almost in mourning for His return, to become the Eden it once was.
And I am finding it easier really as of late to ” preach to the choir ” in a sense, I am praying for sick children, encouraging or preferring Christians to an extent, though soul winning is important, there are many who still unrepentant, as Revelation says they will be. And the spiritual warfare is real and wearies believers, pray and plead His blood
So what about offering Jesus? Let that be our visual today. How do you do it? By hugging your children, and doing the laundry even? Preparing soup for a sick friend? Sending cards or letter in a day of electronic conversation, LOL? There are lots of ways. We can do better, with His guidance, even if it is letting go and letting Him prepare the hearts to send our way. Let’s offer Jesus.
I offer you Jesus today, His rest. The sleep of the beloved. Psalm 127:2
I offer you the fragrance of His love.
For we are the aroma of Christ to God among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. 2 Corinthians 2:15
And I offer you you His peace.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27
These are three of my favorite verses along with Isaiah 53:5 which offers us healing and Psalm 91 our protection and so many more. Tell me a favorite verse of yours of leave a comment.
