First and Last

1“The Kingdom of heaven is like this. Once there was a man who went out early in the morning to hire some men to work in his vineyard. 2He agreed to pay them the regular wage, a silver coin a day, and sent them to work in his vineyard. 3He went out again to the marketplace at nine o’clock and saw some men standing there doing nothing, 4so he told them, ‘You also go and work in the vineyard, and I will pay you a fair wage.’ 5 So they went. Then at twelve o’clock and again at three o’clock he did the same thing. 6It was nearly five o’clock when he went to the marketplace and saw some other men still standing there. ‘Why are you wasting the whole day here doing nothing?’ he asked them. 7‘No one hired us,’ they answered. ‘Well, then, you go and work in the vineyard,’ he told them.

8 “When evening came, the owner told his foreman, ‘Call the workers and pay them their wages, starting with those who were hired last and ending with those who were hired first.’ 9 The men who had begun to work at five o’clock were paid a silver coin each. 10 So when the men who were the first to be hired came to be paid, they thought they would get more; but they too were given a silver coin each. 11 They took their money and started grumbling against the employer. 12‘ These men who were hired last worked only one hour,’ they said, ‘while we put up with a whole day’s work in the hot sun—yet you paid them the same as you paid us!’ 13 ‘Listen, friend,’ the owner answered one of them, ‘I have not cheated you. After all, you agreed to do a day’s work for one silver coin. 14 Now take your pay and go home. I want to give this man who was hired last as much as I gave you. 15 Don’t I have the right to do as I wish with my own money? Or are you jealous because I am generous?’”

16 And Jesus concluded, “So those who are last will be first, and those who are first will be last. Matthew 20:1-16

Don’t you just love parables? How Jesus explains things so that believers will get it and well, the religious or fun believing won’t. This parable may bother some people, because as human beings with a sinful nature, they are invariably jealous.

I want to say not me, in truth. I only wanted what God wanted for me, and really that would be His best. He knows what is best for everyone. Do they do it or receive it? Not always. Did I feel bad being taking advantage of, hurt, ignored, disrespected, even hated? Sure, I did.

That said, I still want people to know His love, I am not in competition, I am in Christ. So the parable. Jesus is like the owner, and the workers received,, the same pay for different hours, the owner chose to be generous and the workers agreed.

I agreed to serve the Lord, and I have been at it a long time. What I receive is His decision. He has always given me better that I deserved, in my opinion, but He would probably say that wasn’t true, just knowing His love. He wants to give us more than we can ask or think, He has always had better plans.

If other people are blessed, healed, write books or have great blogs. Good for them. You will sometimes reap where you didn’t sow. And I know you do reap what you so, so let it be sour grapes. Jesus did not drink the bitter gall on the cross. I don’t want to either and I know I could , and with good reason in the natura;, but he is the supernatural and a rewarder of those diligently seeking Him.

If you receive a prophet, you get a prophet’s reward. Then there is the thiry, sixty, and hundred fold, and it doesn’t have to apply just to tithes. If Jesus is generous and He is, He can reward as He chooses.

And whether I am first or last, I’m just glad He is my vine. I’m still a branch.

Walking with Jesus

How is your walk with Jesus? Having had my share of falls, I know how it can be to get up and walk again, sometimes, the bruising and pain goes away in a couple of days, the stiffness, other times it is longer with broken bones, so imagine broken hearts. Broken souls, I have never been able to understand how unsaved people make it. Of course, the enemy is perhaps, not as much in the spiritual war with them, Still, our battle is the Lord.

I know people on walkers, who use scooters. I have visited the nursing home enough to know some who can’t walk at all. And then there is bed ridden if not homebound. The enemy’s plan from the beginning, as you become a believer is to limit your mobility, dare I say cripple you in Christ? Oh, he would like nothing better than to steal, kill or destroy your testimony, if not you. And guess what even if you are limited, God isn’t so pray.

I know from experience that fear is crippling. Mentally, and even physically. we are handicapped by fear. Emotions are another tactic, especially for women as we are more emotional, and not many men are going to understand and have the compassion that Jesus will. Though they have the capacity, it just appears to have been something the enemy has man men deceived about. You can be strong and tender, Jesus was.

So I encourage women to pour out their hearts to Jesus, He keeps tears and wipes them. As for your walk, take walks if you can. They are a good way to relax, listen to music, or just pray. Or pray in the Spirit, if you operate in spiritual gifts, God hears the prayers of the righteous and He knows hearts, even in bodies limited by physical ailments. Don’t ever believe that you cannot be a powerful prayer warrior, walk with Jesus.

We are all walking with Jesus, so let’s walk worthy of our calling.

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, Ephesians 4:1

Walk in a manner worthy of the LORD, fully pleasing to Him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.  Colossians 1:10

We exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and charged you to walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into His own kingdom and glory. 1 Thessalonians 2:12

Only let your manner of life be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving side by side for the faith of the gospel. Phillipians 1:27

How is you walk with Christ? Does it reflect the way He sees you. You don’t have to be afraid with Him, you someone who loves you and wants to heal you but even if you are in a situation where you can’t walk literally or spiritually, He can certainly carry you until you can.

Opening The Prayer Closet

I was a good closet organizer, lately though, I am dealing with clutter. If I get it packed, it never gets to Goodwill, it is in the garage. The more stuff I get out, it is like the more there is in there. I move things from one place to another and there just looks like there is more and more, can junk or garbage or donations multiply?

You can ask my mother though, her closet was great, summer winter, I had it organized, I matched clothes, had shoes in boxes, winter and summer.  I would even hang a scarf, necklace or cross on a sweater or put a pin on a  coat. Then a large rack fell, it just hasn’t been the same.

Having house guests who stay a while doesn’t help, then my office was moved and the closet piled up. I was hoping to find a picture of a lady standing in front of a closet with stuff about to fall out on her, that’s about the way I feel about closet organizing right now, and you know what, I think our prayer closets could use a tidying up. Like the real closets, it can filled with stuff, not only ours but other peoples, sometimes stuff has overstayed its welcome.

Believe me, I include myself in this. I got to get my organizing back in sync or cadence. What happened, cares of the world, etc.  Have you let your prayer closet pile up. I think maybe I have, I have answered all the prayer requests I got, but my own I need to prioritize. I don’t make resolutions, I never keep them, but like God keeps His promise, eventually, I do get around to keep mine as best I can.

My prayer closet has been full, I get a lot of requests. I do let housework go and catch up later. Lives are more important, and sharing His love, so I blog a lot. Still I had to rest and maybe a little bit more stuff piles in there. Praying for a boy with bone cancer, comes before putting away some of the groceries that will wait.

The rule usually is if you haven’t worn it in a year, donate it. Don’t keep clothes too large or small, in case you gain or lose weight. How many shoes do we really need? Seriously? I know I am good at finding the cutest boots. If it is squished way in the back, it probably wasn’t important. I once found stuff with tags from clearance, don’t get something and then never wear it. Purses are something that will overflow on you. I don’t know about you, but I can only carry one at a time and it usually a comfortable and reasonable one, that goes well with most things. I am not being stooped over by a heavy shoulder bag, not happening.

Though this was meant to be a fun post, there is wisdom here. Some housework will be repetitive or daily. Closests shouldn’t be one of them nor just a place to hide stuff. Cleaning house isn’t moving clutter from one place to another. I think that is why a lot of people are not good housekeepers, they were never taught, never bothered to learn or just accepted the fact they couldn’t do it like their mamas. They get tired, family won’t help. Get some rules in place, I sure need too as well.

We don’t have to be perfect because He is and makes up a lot of the difference in our lives but that doesn’t mean we give up and let go. We should do everything we can to make our homes and families comfortable and live in His peace and not chaos. And not be exhausted from cleaning, delegate chores, eye rolls or not. And husbands should know how to start a washer. I know no one can ever it, whatever it is, socks, spoons or paper towels. And it is usually, right there.

Open your prayer closet, and the the junk fall out, pack it up and give it to Jesus or share with a prayer warrior, if you have too much to handle. Let go of the little and unnecessary thing that in there, even if you have to tell someone, ” I know you asked me to or I volunteered to…but I’m sorry I won’t be able to, whatever. You can back out gracefully, if you are overextended. Pray first, before you tackle too much. I am guilty, here. I will try to do everything for everybody. I’m not God I just work for Him.

You know I told someone I would have to read Ezra, was invited to read Luke a chapter a day in December, haven’t even started. I turn down a lot of things, selling cosmetic, helping with used clothing, book launches. I can’t do everything and do what I do. My closet piles up and it will fall out on me when I open the door.

As we head into a New Year and close out a few post in our Winter Warrior series, let’s make our prayer closets safe and enjoyable, and a place of rest, where we can give our battles to Him, they belong to Him anyway, we are just the victors.

Conquering Fear

Conquering fear picks us back up  on our Winter Warrior series after some Christmas joy. Believe me, conquering fear make the Lord joyful and does us a world of good. It is like a weight lifts off you. The creepy crawly feeling you get at the back of your neck, your throat tightens and heart pounds, not ordinary caution, or things you know you should not do kind of like crossing the street without looking both ways, only today, it is never looking up from a phone and even texting and driving. Fear is not common sense, and you would be surprised how many people do not have it.

They can be educated, even admired and in charge and still lack common sense. Fear, terror and torment, what I like to call the unholy trinity, is never from the the Lord. He says so in Isaiah 54, where we read about the covenant He intended for all of us, if we are taught of or by the Lord, we should have peace not fear and confusion. Still, it comes and we have to resist, knowing how to submit to God and resist causes the devil to flee. Confessing His righteousness will activate the no weapon formed against me will prosper verse.

I realize in reading the passage it makes it sound as if God was using the devil with the phrase, about creating the waster to destroy. But the punctuation is more that He controls the devil, He created the waster, to destroy. His intent was to destroy the one who tried to destroy His creation altogether, who tried to overthrow, heaven. There is no way ever he is greater, the greater one lives in the believer.

We waste too much time in fear and worry, don’t waste God’s gift of love, Jesus and the precious Holy Spirit who is the Spirit of power and love a  sound mind or self control as long as we allow Him to be. He will never force His love on you even as believer.

That’s what God is love. It is the only cure for fear. Perfect or mature love will cast it out every time. And there goes the devil again. And he will be mad but who cares? If he comes back get rid of him again. We know how. I spent way to much time binding him and trying to avoid being fearful but sometimes the fear called out by others or even in a spiritual attack can catch us off guard. And he will come, especially, if you have already been hurt, are not feeling well, he knows prayer warriors won’t give in and often face many attacks at once. But God can bowl them over in one felled swoop.

If you are struggling with fear. I hope I can help you conquer it with this post. If you have to take baby steps do that. I was afraid to drive as a teenager, but I’m sure I’m not the only person who didn’t get a license at fifteen or sixteen. I learned, I failed the test not parallel parking but backing up a station wagon of all things. But I got it. I can drive. What other people did in a short time, took me longer but that is okay. God is usually not in a hurry. He is a little more now.

Why? Because we are closer than ever to the Rapture or catching away of the church. I know many are not taught that or believe in it, yet is Scriptural. People who are left will have a while but then chaos when the AntiChrist arrives. Fear and lawlessness will reign and it will be harder to be saved, taking that mark is eternal damnation, and total torment and fear, forever.

Whoever you are, or wherever and no matter what, you can be saved and free of that, and know how to overcome fear just by asking Jesus to forgive you but you have to mean it, to be sincere, He knows your heart and the truth from lies. I have to love you as a believer enough to tell you the truth not to scare you more. He wants you to obey out of love not fear.

If you read in Revelation, the first people put into the lake of fire are the the fearful and unbelieving. To have fear doesn’t necessarily mean you are unbelieving, staying in it and not overcoming will let that in and we want to conquer it, more than conquer it in His love. He created hell for the devil and his angels, not us.

The Lord will correct you on being afraid. He hates it, but not you. He hates what it does to you And He will help you. Just ask, and the gift of the Holy Spirit, being baptized in Him is powerful, study it first and use His gifts, especially, tongues to discern these days. I realize I have some readers in other countries, if you speak English great, Google translated the blog, but the Lord speaks all languages even unknown except to God. If you ask for this gift use it regularly.

God can be awesome and overwhelming, what the Bible fear of His is more respect and reverence, and it a fearful thing to fall into the hands of a living God and not know Jesus. The Holy Spirit is love though, He may amaze you, but He loves you and is the very Spirit of Christ, the Son of God. Isn’t it amazing that God loved us so much. That is why we need not fear the terror of night nor arrow of day from Psalm 91. Let this post help you and tell someone else.

Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27

Stolen Gifts And Miracles

My Post (5).png

Yes he’s a mean one Mr. Grinch! Haven’t we all seen and enjoyed that? But unlike the grinch whose heart is changed by the fact that Christmas is more than what he has stolen, our adversary will never change. And he has come to steal, kill, and destroy, John 10:10, but the good news is Jesus, who came to give life and life more abundantly, so who is going to be bothered by a grinch?

Well, we all have been from the little  things that are not just fun and games but total mischief, impish little minions causing chaos to the more sinister mental anguishes of grief and depression, the horrendous fear that keeps us from rest. We have all been there. With the Lord as shepherd, we should not lack, but sometimes we do, whether financial or the spiritual acumen to overcome in Jesus.

The term porch pirate was something I have become familiar with, not that I have had any I know of in my neighborhood and yet, I know Jesus has been at the door, Revelation 3:20 and He says to ask in His name, He wanted us to have joy. So is that spiritual porch pirate stealing gifts and even miracles? Oh yes, he has. So let’s take care of the grinch once and for all.

You know he wants your healing, your joy and peace and rest, any good gift God gives you. The thief would rob you blind, but he shouldn’t be able to, we have to lock all the doors and windows to our soul. Be careful what we hear and see, and especially, say. We can give him way too much credit. Jesus thought it was not robbery to be equal with God because He was and is the beloved Son of God. He said so as Jesus was baptized, though many did not hear some  did.

But the enemy is another instance altogether. Thinking he was equal to God and really, the green with envy jealous of Jesus, and a failed coup to take over heaven got him kicked out forever. Jesus called him the prince of this world and told the disciples he had been judged, he is forever fallen and damned eternally. And he also found nothing in Jesus to latch on to, nothing he could trick him with, he could not make him quit, nor fail in his coming to die for us, He finished His work.

I’m wondering how often Jesus has been at the door, not only that His return is imminent but delivering our gifts and miracles. The enemy can’t steal from Jesus, but he does either wrestle it away from us, sneak off with it little by little or just walk up and take it of the doorstep. How often have we been so close to a breakthrough, getting that business going and prospering, writing that novel, or most importantly receiving a miracle, and it be made off with by the unrepentant grinch, who is still jealous of Jesus and would like nothing better that to interfere in the lives of the beloved.

Well, too bad, grinch. Your days are numbered. You may have come down with a vengeance, but your time is short. The greater one lives in us and you are in no way, nor have you ever been equal with God, Jesus or the Holy Spirit. His love puts you out every time, it heals, makes whole and returns any gift or miracle, because we know the thief. And he can stay green with envy at how much we are loved.

I love to study the Bible and I know a perfect couple was deceived, though Adam was a willing sinner, quick to blame the woman, that still happens, you know. And vice versa. But God made men to love like Jesus, and women to be loved by men who love like Jesus, who know their place and step on the grinch instead of listening to him.

So as we wind down from the holidays, let’s be determined to let God be God and give Him glory for the most precious gift of His Son and the Comfort and companionship of His Spirit. No more stolen gifts or miracles, we have the power to shut him out for good and God will repay him with a vengeance. Oh, the price Jesus paid to spare us, let’s not let the grinch have Christmas, he can never have Christ. And he will never defeat Christ. Yes, he’s a mean one, Mr. Grinch. We never defeat him in our power but…..

Greater is He that is in me than he who is in the world. 1 John 4:4

A Season of Miracles

God can perform miracles anytime. He parted a sea, made the sun stand still. He created the laws of physics and He can bend them. Miracle is term that gets tossed about, there are little miracles everyday, but are we about to see bigger than ever before? I hope so!

We have just passed through the Jewish High Holy days and Halloween lurked around the corner, Thanksgiving came and went and now Christmas, past. It is not a time to give in to fear that has long oppressed us as we have been, as women of faith and grace, attacked again and again with health issues and mental anguish, if not or own, someone’s we have to deal with, a loved one or even someone who is unrelenting at work, perhaps school or even church. Christians are human and fallible when God is not, they will often be the source of a problem instead of the solution.

I read a great testimony the other day about a couple who were literally raised from the dead, and the daughter, a miracle. Seeing the photo of the crash, I could hardly believe what was left, something so big, crushed to look like a toaster. God is at work even if we don’t always know it, that is why it is faith. What we don’t see, we just have to believe and let Him be God.

Believe me, I tried to be so like Jesus, He can be a tough act to follow but I believe in  miracles, I have seen a lot of them. Ecclesiastes 3 is read at Sukkot and we are wrapping that up already. To everything there is a season. Is He planning a season of miracles? A harvest of souls? Did things happen in the spirit this fal, this holiday season? Maybe, some were known and some are yet to come.

I know it is cooler, and even cold in many places. As you take walks, or enjoy the winter and relax in the evening with cocoa, take a moment to reflect on the wonders of the seasons of fall and winter. And look forward to spring and summertime, with the hope of His deliverance and breakthrough.

The counterpart or should I say the adversary’s season is steeped in superstition, witchcraft, trickery, division and deceit. Don’t fall into traps set by the wicked one that takes your mind off the beauty of Christ. And when that happens and your world is ugly, it will try to overtake you. Do whatever you can to keep the true beauty of His love in your heart.

We have been through a lot of seasons, just like the chapter says and we are in one or another now, you will read there is a time to speak and one to keep silent. Jesus was silent before His accusers and so must we be. Don’t get into arguments, lose your temper, go to sleep angry. It is a trap. Keep some silence in your day, and pray quietly, and receive His peace.

Cast down those thoughts, imaginations, that bother you that are against the knowledge of God. He is the greater one and all He has to do do is give the word and His Son could return. And I won’t be surprised if even before that, He brings a season of miracles.

The Will To Live

It’s Christmas Day and I’m writing this post that would appear a little unusual but it is not, and I will explain it. Suicide and depression have been such a topic. There is way too much of it in the body of Christ. I wrote a post called Contemplating Suicide a while back that has been read by many including ministers and relatives of suicide victims, it is a dark place of the mind and heart.

We are spirits, created in the image of God, who is Spirit. The verse says where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom. And there is. He gives us a free will and we should have freedom in Christ as believers whom the Son sets free.  But often, much too often, we are bound to emotions and feelings that cause us to lose that will to live, even those with chronic or terminal illness can lose hope, but our hope is Jesus, we can’t lose Him and He never loses us.

We, as spirit beings are affected by spirits, evil spirits and tormenting spirits, even unclean ones, and you can’t wash that off, except with the Word,  but the good news is we don’t have to be if we keep our mind on Jesus and not the problem, I know it  may not be easy but it can be done by renewing our minds and rest in Him. He keeps us in perfect peace with our mind on Him. Isaiah 26:3, and yes, His yoke is easy and light, and it is easy to receive from a loving Lord, but keeping ourselves secreted in His sacred rest requires us to change our way of thinking and not allow those overwhelming and oppressive thoughts to overtake the life He has planned for us.

So many people simply do not realize the spiritual side of mental oppression, but there are good counselors out there, both Christian and secular and I never tell anyone not get help. I do encourage them to have hope and that hope is Jesus our soul’s anchor of faith. Believers can not be possessed, but very much oppressed in dealing with not only their faith and life but helping others. Caregiving is draining and some people are just toxic and should be avoided. Holy Spirit discernment is a bonus here.

And even if you do not feel suicidal, it can be the not caring if you live or die and that is just as bad. You lose hope and that leads to depression, anxiety and fear. Allowing these thoughts and feeling to continue and even linger is like inviting a curtain or even shroud of grief or despair.

The church or at least some of them are more willing to discuss the topic. But really, a lot of things are just demons with a name keeping you from Christ or oppressing you, so you can’t help others or even through others. Tormenting spirits are very real from past traumas, ongoing situations, and even enemy attack. They will attempt to keep you from receiving breakthroughs, healing, the miraculous and even deliverance. Jesus gave us the authority to bind those spirits and loose them from their assignments and I pray that for you today, In His name.

Demons and the devil have no rest, but we do in Him, that is one of the reasons they try so hard to get back in and when they do they leave a person in a worse state, Jesus said so. Sometimes, we need to let people grow in faith and others may benefit from the baptism of the Spirit, I think it is good if people accept both at salvation, but many of us were not taught that, and we have no doubt suffered for it. The gift of tongues lets you speak mysteries, many times it will tell the devil off in ways we will never know.

I realize that people will feel they don’t have a reason to live or no hope at all. I know in my own life what my reasons for living were, and I know I lost some of them. I realized this Christmas that I have a precious gift of the will to life, something and someone to live for, and I have Jesus.

I don’t have to live to get even with the devil, the Lord’s vengeance is on him, not out of spite or anger, even bitterness at having had such attacks on my faith. I have nothing to prove, and no one to account to but for the Lord and I am so glad for Hi great mercy.

People and life will disappoint you, and some problems and people are easier to walk away from. Remember, as a believer in Christ, you are precious to Him and your life is and you can value it and cherish it and be a blessing to others but you. Turn to Him and don’t put up with the enemy’s nonsense for another moment. You are a beloved child of God and He is your shield. Hold fast to Him.

Your reason for living is not to defeat the enemy but to overcome through Jesus. Jesus defeated Him on the cross and you won’t in your own strength but in His. All he wants to do is love you. I realized how the enemy was planning to attack me with the idea of giving up and so much more but Jesus is my light and life and even if there was no one to live for He is my reason to live.

He puts the sparkle in our eyes, the shine on our faces and His love in our hearts.

Christmas Memories

We all have them. Good and bad. I thought I would share some of mine, and I will pass on the bad. Mostly, because of the grace of God I have had Christmas In My Heart, like my new Pinterest board.

You will see Cary Grant there as Dudley, the angel from A Bishop’s Wife, a classic holiday film. One of his lines to Loretta Young is that she is one of the people who knows how to make heaven on earth. I like that, I have tried to be one.

I always enjoyed shopping for ornaments with my mother, we have had a revolving Victorian tree for years, until we had children who would break things in. We have helped children, some more difficult than others, but we always enjoyed shopping, buying or donating clothes and toys, and we had lots of Christmas parties.

Singing Christmas carols has always been a joy. Having a blog and sharing the past few years has been great. when I was little, it was a big deal to drive around looking at lights, one man used to put Santa and reindeer over a lake, that was a treat. And one year, I was positive, I heard sleigh bells late at night. Someone told me there was no Santa at seven, but they never convinced me there was no Jesus. I know better! And I taught children who were older that Santa was a game based on the real one, they never told smaller ones. We made fudge, cakes, cookies and dipped chocolate pretzels. Stuffed stockings, wrapped presents. One year my uncle blurted out what he was wrapping, I had to laugh out loud. We played secret Santa.

I always tried to buy gifts all year and save them back, and the after Christmas sales were good, I could even cover birthdays and when you just need a gift, you have one. I always wanted to decorate the tree a have a giant closet to push it in until next year. It would often take me three or four days to get it decorated and the same to take it down that was kind of sad, I watched poodles eyes asking me why. And they are a precious memory, in every family photo, even the ones I didn’t take. A part of the family, now with Jesus, my Yorkie inherited a Christmas outfit.

Every moment of life is sacred, not to be taken lightly, so even the bad memories, let God heal them, cherish the good ones, and laugh at the mishaps, okay, the bad memories, a broken ankle, totally undecorating the leaning tree, forgetting a present for someone, a guy almost setting my hair on fire with a lit candle in at church recital, I didn’t know it. I had long hair then, and my mother told me late how she cringed at him being behind me.

I never could get my family’s cooperation and participation like I wanted to but that is okay, they are just not the same as me. We are all different, but I was just blessed with a vivid and colorful imagination and a deep love for Jesus, so I suppose, It’s A Wonderful Life.

Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas!

Healing, His Christmas Gift.

Last year, I wrote about Christmas being under attack, and it was. It is a again. It always has been. Herod was out to destroy the Messiah, He would have killed Jesus if he could have. This year, as I write a Christmas post a few days early, I hope to share with you some healing verses and wisdom, and I pray for you all who are in need, and we all need healing in some way, over loss, grief, pain. And sometimes, it will take deliverance from the evil, the Herods who would destroy the very Prince of Peace, but never will.

Last week, I prayed for cancer patients, people who had lost love ones, heart patients, babies in NICU, so many others. I have fought my own battles against pain, and learned how to rest and let Him fight. I sowed healing verses in my heart a long time ago, I needed them. I relied on them. I encourage people to know them before they get a bad report, so they can believe the good one from Isaiah 53 instead. And today, two good reports.

That is the perfect passage to read at Christmas along with Luke chapter two. Don’t keep Him a baby in a manger, or a savior on a cross, He is risen and He is Lord, and He paid a high price for believers, we do not want to waste His gifts or His love, allow Him to reign over you this year with healing of all kinds that floats from the heavenlies like lightly falling and pure snow. Even one lash upon His back was enough to heal many, and He took at least 39, save one. Forty lashes would kill someone, but did Romans obey Jewish law? Jesus was tried at night, beaten and scourged, trials did not take place at night and the punishment was one or the other not both, so I think not. Deuteronomy 25:3.

I am always grateful that His punishment brought peace, my peace. A crown of thorns for a crown of peace. Lashes or wounds for healing. Born and swaddled in a stone manger, and again in a tomb. He was born to die, and really, most if not all people weren’t worth it. He loved them anyway, but suffered knowing and thing of the ones who would hear and believe, and accept His love. Now, He reigns in heaven, watching over us and is ready to help, if only we can believe. His words, ” Don’t be afraid, just believe. ” still ring true.

For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. But if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. Romans 8:2

There are many more verses you can find them easily and even some Youtube videos. God did not allow His Son to suffer all that and not want people healed, you just really have to get that in to your head and heart and in your Spirit, He did not sacrifice Him for nothing.

And bore our sicknesses.”

Matthew 8:16, 17, sometimes it is a demonic attack and others just from a world. Jesus’ words break curses, casts out devils and heals, all for God’s glory.
