Apples of Grace

September is apple orchard time in Georgia, even though we are known for peaches, pecans and peanuts. Many people will head to the mountains to pick them, and make applesauce, cider or apple butter.

I have been baking muffins, so I will probably make apple cinnamon ones, though I don’t have plans to pick apples. If apples are healthy and they are, one a day may not really keep the doctor away but they are a reminder of the many fruits that God gave us, apples are sometimes to demonstrate a fruit of the Spirit, like love. We are going to use them for grace and I made a Pinterest board called Apples of Grace. Another example. of His love.

Grace is not cheap, it cost Jesus everything to redeem us, as we fall in love with Jesus let’s look to His amazing grace and it is too, and may a fresh and crisp wind of His Spirit hover over us that we can taste and see His goodness. And here are a few verses on grace to memorize or journal, we must not take it lightly, there but for the grace of God go I.

He gives us grace upon grace and the Message says gift upon gift, John 1:16.

For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. John 1:17

In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace. Ephesians 1:7

Grace to all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with an undying love. Ephesians 6:24

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God. Ephesians 2:8

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus. Romans 3:23, 24.

Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may rest on grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham’s offspring–not only to those who are of the Law, but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all. Romans 4:16

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with all of you. 2 Corinthians 13:14

Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. 2 Peter 1:2

The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 1:14

I wish I had heard Romans 3:24 more when I was growing up, all  never got was the falling short, but He loves us and I pray as we fall in love with Him over and again, let’s love Him with that undying love, Ephesians 6:24.

  1. Rebecca, I’m with you on hearing Romans 3:23 a lot but not much mention of the very next verse. 🙂 Yes, He loves us and it cost Him so much to provide salvation for us. I am so grateful. Blessings to you! I’m your neighbor at #porchstories this week. 🙂
