If you read about seals being broken in the book of Revelation, the angels then have a task, everything from bowls to incense and prayers, and judgement poured out in the Great Tribulation.
So I began to think about how we are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, I started to wonder for myself if God just answers prayers at the right time. Maybe, He has plans sealed up, you know the ones for good and not harm as Jeremiah says.
I know people don’t always get the answers they expect. God knows best. It may be the loss of a dream or loved one, there are things we don’t know but what we do know is that He is just. And He loves us and gave His Son for us.
Let’s look at seals, and we might even want to pray and ask Him to open anything He has sealed up for us when the time is right, just like opening a present, it has to be a good and perfect from the Father.
In Him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in Him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of His glory. Ephesians 1:13, 14
And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Ephesians 4:30
God has also put His seal on us and given us His Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee. 2 Corinthians 1:22
Covenants and ketubahs or marriage contracts were signed and sealed, a signet ring was impressed into wax. Just think how the Lord has sealed us by His love and Spirit, and His promises are guaranteed.
Remember also that Daniel was told to seal up his writing until the time of the end. It’s closer. And Jesus was sealed in that tomb with guards posted, and the Holy Spirit brought Him out, and angels were there. What do you need to be brought out of?
They are always with the Spirit of Promise, and God’s Word is good. So what does He have sealed up for us, even before Revelation comes? He knows when to open it and the windows of heaven also.
