Worshiping Angels

My Post (7)

NO! I have to say this is not about worshiping angels but that they are worshiping God. I know they are not to be worshiped by people and I don’t advocate that at all. What  I do know is that there are seraphim who  are above His throne, cry holy, holy, holy.

When is the last time we have said that? Or when have said to Him, He is worthy of our praise? When have said prayers of tanks and just worshiped Him and loved Him for His sacrifice?

We tend to be caught up in praise and often I have see those services be like rock concerts. People can get caught up into it and still miss God. He is a Spirit, to worshiped in the Spirit and in truth. While I am not against contemporary music, far from it. The old words from the hymnals ring true.

Last night I prayed for rest, being weary in attempts at well doing. I told Him  I could do nothing without Him and felt much better today. Often I just pray and worship quietly at night, there is a release of the days heaviness. I do think it often one day at a time as the Lord’s Prayer say, wonder to recite and pray, Just a closer walk with Him.

Oh, what peace we often forfeit, oh what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer. So get back to worship, let His heart refresh yours, let Him restore your soul. He will, and sometimes, it is a daily process.

I have often escaped the tempter’s snare, by my return to a sweet hour of prayer, another old line from a hymn and so true. Take an hour to read through a hymnal, the old rugged cross really was the emblem of suffering and shame, but Jesus is alive forevermore and being worshiped in heaven. By saints. By angels.

How about here, angels are among us and even in the performance of their tasks they are are bound to worship, so how about us? Are we going to worship? Praise is good, to me worship is better, and He is worthy to be praised, and even a higher form of praise is worship, angels are around the throne.

  1. I love that song, Rebecca! “Oh, what peace we often forfeit, oh what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer.” One of my favorites and so true!
