God’s Good Idea / Accept

I have had a lot of good ideas in my day. I like being creative. Some things have worked out better than others. I read an article of a woman describing herself created by God, I never thought of that, about really being a woman in His eyes. I never saw myself as He did. I’m sure a lot of us don’t. We need to look at Ephesians 1:6, To the praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the beloved. How amazing, the Father accepts us through the sacrifice of Jesus, His beloved Son.

While we all have had dreams, we have all had some that have not come true. Maybe, a lot of them were misguided, before we knew Him and discovered His plans and future. And still that can be filled with disappointments, not from Jesus but people. He is the only hope that will never disappoint. His love is like no other, though we may do our best to love His way, He is the only one who perfects it daily. And He has accepted us as believers, into the beloved.

God loves us so much that He makes us accepted in His beloved Son, Jesus. Even though in John 5:43, Jesus, Himself say He has come in the Father’s name and they did not accept Him, but if someone comes in his own name, him they accept. What a wonder verse is the much quoted John 3:16. We have to soak it in on what wondrous sacrifice.

We look at ourselves and see failure, He sees favor. We see the outward, and we condemn. He sees the heart and loves. Our love goes only so deep, His knows no depths. God had a good idea to create a garden and put two perfect people in it. So was it a bad idea to give them a free will? No, because God is love, and He wants us to love Him as a choice.

There has been a lot of talk about choices, we all make them, and even repent of them. When God saw how bad the world was, He repented and sent a Flood but not before allowing the people a chance, they had centuries before the ark was completed but continued to mock, people are still doing that. That is not a good idea.

Instead of trying to fix everything for everyone, it is better to let Him be God, for He sees hearts. We just need to see ours as He does. To give it fully to Him, and let Him sow seeds and we will benefit from the gardening of our hearts. He has a way of separating the wheat from the tares.

He has a way of pruning, He is the vine after all and any fruit we bear will be because of HIm. Fruit is planted like vegetables or flowers, it is watered and given light, it may be in soil for a while it but will grow, a knowing placed there by God, one of His good ideas, it knows what to do. It just has to grow. It can’t help but to grow.

So give your heart good ground  as the Word says, good soil, be receptive to Him. For nothing grows among rocks or thorns, or in hard, parched ground. You may see an occasional cactus in the desert. The enemy roams the dry and empty place, void of His holy promises.

And the seed that fell on good soil represents those who hear and accept God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted! Mark 4:20, we accept His words and we must accept ourselves as beloved, for Jesus prayed for the disciples to be loved in John 17, would He not do even more after He has risen? The book of John is a good place to read about love. John even refers to Himself, as the disciple whom Jesus loved, not because He loved Him better, though it is natural to prefer some people, it is just that he understood.

And remember, you are His good idea. He knit you together and made plans for you. He perfects them, completes them and carries them to fruition. Don’t be a cactus when He sees a rose. Don’t have the aroma of fear and doubt when He gives you the fragrance of Christ. As a believe you are accepted, and God’s good idea, whether anyone else accepts it or not.

And don’t speak badly of yourself, don’t brag or be arrogant, but be sure He has made you the daughter of a king as a believer in Him. You are His and He loves you everlastingly. God is my Father, for sure. He is creative and has all these good ideas, and like me or me like Him, some are better than others, some need a little more time and grace. But we are still His good idea. I’m glad He did it, though I hate what He had to go through, it cost Him so much. Rebecca Jones / Daria Shevstova, pexels, thank you.
