Targeting the Dove

I read a statement from a minister, that was similar to this, that the devil always goes after the dove after God does a mighty work. I know from personal experience, that that is true. But after reading this, I felt the peace.  The Lord’s peace that He promised. It is relevant, tangible and pure.

Going after the dove may be the enemy’s modas operandi but I know it’s a bad idea because the Lord is right there. The Lamb of God is there, the Lion of Judah and He is definitely more than able to put that snake in the grass back down where he belongs, way down. Way, way down his hole.

So if you are struggling and the enemy has you in his sights or is tormenting you with fears or inecurities or anything, take it to Jesus, He should be our focus. Not the problems, nor the enemy. Look to Jesus, He’s got us covered.

We can take refuge under God’s wing, the Son, Jesus, is the Lion that defeats the devils lying roars. And the dove is the Holy Spirit, that is the dove that he goes after, but He can take care of Himself as well.  Going after the dove is a really bad idea. A really bad idea, because we are beloved. Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I rejoice over you. But I want you to be wise about what is good and innocent about what is evil. The God of peace will crush satan under you feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Romans 16:19,20
