Overwhelmed by Love

Father, I am overwhelmed by your love. It’s amazing. How much you gave for me, you’re only beloved Son. I can hardly comprehend that you would give Him to re-establish our relationship with you.

We would never have known you as a loving Father, unless Jesus let you give Him up as Son. He became sin for me to be free from it. He gave up life for me to live. He gave me everything and He became nothing for me.

He bore it all. There is no way, I would ever have been redeemed unless Jesus gave His life for me. Now, I have given my life for Him. He loves me, He loves me, never a never, He loves me not. Jesus, oh, Jesus, sweetest name I know.

No matter what anyone thinks or says, He loves me. No one will ever love me more and He will never love me less. People are disappointed in me, people turn away, especially when they disagree about faith. But Jesus is still with me, He will never leave me nor forsake me.

I soak in His love, I bathe in His love, I bask in His love. I rest in His love. I walk in His love. I talk His love and I am ever present in His love and in His Spirit..

His love floors me, He overpowers me and overwhelms me, I do not, can not and will not resist a perfect love. Keep me as the apple of your eye, the dove that rests in my heart is at peace. I belong to Jesus. I am overwhelmed by His love.  Rebecca Jones
