Reach For Jesus

Are you having a hard time today? Do you need a friend? Someone to confide in that will never betray your confidence? Someone who will never leave you or forsake you?  Jesus will reach out to you if reach out to Him, in fact, He’s reaching out to you, even if you’re not reaching.  He’s as close as a shadow, a heartbeat, a breath.  He is the Good Shepherd and His name is above all names, call on Him.

He’s Wonderful, Counselor, A Mighty God. Jesus is the first and last, the Alpha and Omega, and if you’ve read my blog at all, you know my favorite, Prince of Peace. He our Living Water, and He gives us freely the Holy Spirit from whom to drink.

He has been born, lived and died, crucified and raised from the dead. He ascended, He’s our High priest, seated at the right hand of the Father. He gave His life for us to able to cry out Abba Father and to be adopted. He wants us seated beside Him, to join in the feast, the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

He has been loved by the Father and all things were given unto Him. The earth is His footstool. Before Abraham was  Jesus was, the people of the day could not understand that statement. But He was there at creation, walked with Adam. He is the beloved Passover lamb that came to take away the sins of the world. He is a greater one than Solomon, (the Pope, President and Queen ).

You could fill books with His miracles, oceans with His love. He is everlasting love and life. He is pure joy and peace. He is grace and mercy and wisdom. He is the Living Word, He was made flesh and dwelt among us. Jesus loves the little children, but His children are believers and because of them He came to defeat the wicked one whose power was  death, and the fear of it. Jesus bore so much for us, we will never fully understand it all until we see Him face to face, and we can, He should be reflecting in us with His glory shining through.

Do we see that in each other, I know that day must be coming. Reach for Jesus. Let us remember to never forget the sacriifce He made as the Lamb of God. As we celebrate Passover or at least honot it by taking Communion, let us offer a prayer and praise to the one who loved us so, Rebecca Jones
