Wasted Words

Let’s face it ladies, we like to talk. And we talk and text too much. But before you get mad at me, keep reading. It’s good to talk. But we talk too much and waste our words. How? How many times do you tell your child to clean his/her room, to go to sleep? Once should be enough two, maybe…three, four, five. If it’s a struggle, your wasting words and not being taken seriously.

It should be bath, teeth, story, prayers and good night kiss. Small children can be sponges, Christian parents should take advantage of that and teach them early and wisely.. You don’t have to repeat yourself, they know what your talking about. Don’t let loving your children wear you out.

You can discipline young children better than older, unruly ones. Jesus loved more than anyone, and He did not mince words. The wind and sea obeyed Him, demons fled. I’m not telling you to have your children jumping through hoops but you shouldn’t be either. It’s okay to say no to some activities. Family and faith time is important, and so is rest, for parents and children.

God is not a puppet master, He didn’t make women jugglers. He desires nothing but the best for us and He knows how to help us accomplish His will. We talk about doing things and never do them or over do and complain about that. We tell our problems to anyone who will listen, instead of taking them to God or listening to Godly advice.

We tend to pray repetitive prayers instead of leaving worries at Jesus feet where they belong. He gave His authority over that enemy of ours, yet we will joke about our lives, our bodies, our health, how old we are or how old we feel, what’s giving out.

If we really thought about the corrupt communication that comes out of our mouths we’d be surprised. I was picky in a Charismatic sort of way, then not so much. I know Jesus knows I love Him and believe in Him, I am Mary who knows what is important and it won’t be taken away. Nothing separates us from the love of Jesus. So let’s look at corrupt communication.

First, the word corrupt, Jesus and God’s Word, for instance are infallible and incorruptible. That’s why we must sow to the spirit and not the flesh. Here are definitions or adjectives for corrupt, and beneath it something we might say.  And what God might say.

guilty of dishonest practices, as bribery; lacking integrity; crooked: a corrupt judge.
Nobody will notice. Everybody does it.
I am the God who sees.
debased in character; depraved; perverted; wicked; evil: a corrupt society.
You just drive me crazy!
Renew your mind!
made inferior by errors or alterations, as a text.
I wish I could change everything about me.
I make all things new.
infected; tainted.
Well, it runs in the family.
It doesn’t have to.
decayed; putrid.
I’m dead on my feet.
No, you’re not!

The truth is that Jesus already paid the price for us to receive. There’s nothing so wrong that He can not or will not fix it if we receive. God just doesn’t want us to disagree with Him as believers. He freely offers and we should freely receive. If you are sick, Jesus wants you well. God sent Him for that reason. He has already made a way given you the answers, formed a plan for your life, we just have receive it and line our prayers up with Him.

You can talk about anything but don’t disagree, go to the doctor, but go with faith, take medicine but take it with faith, have an operation with faith, or get so full of faith you won’t need to. God meets you where you are, but don’t joke about your, health or marriage or children. When it comes down to cases, don’t waste your words, you can have fun but somethings are too important and are no laugh matter.

Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. Ephesians 4:29 Rebecca Jones
