Truly I say to you, if you are not converted and become as the little children, you shall never enter into the kingdom of the heavens. Matthew 18:3
The Bible speaks of child like faith and I know it’s true that they are innocent and believe what you tell them. they have no concept of time and think that everything was yesterday, they love unconditionally. They are dependent on adults. Jesus sees us that way, just as God does, don’t believe me…keep reading…Hebrews 2:14,
Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil.
I have tried reasoning with children, sometimes it works, but a lot of it escapes them. Being bounced all day is normal, chips and ketchup is a great lunch. It’s fun to live in a house with no refrigerator. They will even call drugs medicine. This is innocence, this is why He came. Not only for the children but for the lost children, even the grown ups, but they make their choices. It’s sad if they refuse love.
And children can be cruel, perhaps, because of someone’s cruelty to them. Perhaps, the Adamic nature of the flesh. This same innocence can turn on a dime and scream, and pout about not getting their way. Children will try to control you, which may be natural to a point, but a spirit of witchcraft and rebellion, if in excess. You must teach a child about Jesus, or how will they know? It is all about perception and deception. And children who have been taken out of bad situations have been exposed to all kinds of spirits. Some people refuse to believe that, yet it is true. The devil is after anyone he can get. He hates people because God loves them. Bind the spirits, plead the blood of Jesus, teach them gently. Never allow the devil to deceive you into becoming what you hate.
It’s the same with God, He sent Jesus to heal, but a lot of people refuse to rest in Him and accept it. Is it really easier to hang on to petty jealousies and insecurities and stressful things that make us ill? No wonder we are supposed to put away childish things, children don’t know what’s good for them vegetables, sleep, boundaries. You may think it’s being mean to be made to rest, but I know you need it. Children, and some adults don’t get it.
We should be like a child in faith, not like them in the petty. We should accept corrections and realize that (Heavenly) Father Knows Best. He gave us His best, Jesus. so let’s be our best for Him. Rebecca Jones
