Good And Perfect

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights.  James 1:17

And God, our Heavenly Father is the gift giver, there are fruits of the Spirit, gifts of the Spirit, and so many more.  Each gift may be unique and distinct with the persons own signature and God’s stamp of approval. We are all gifted in some way. Mine is a gift words, hopefully, fitly spoken, my mother’s is her way with children. Whether its carpentry like Jesus or sewing or baking a great German chocolate cake, little gifts and great gifts like healing and deliverance are from God.

All God’s gifts are not necessarily familiar Bible passages. He is God and He can do anything.. He can do a new thing. He makes things new. He calls life to death, and light to darkness. He raises spirits, names the stars, numbers the sand. He knows how many hairs are on your head.

You might want a new car, but He wants you to have a good husband who will buy you one. You might be thinking transportation and He’s thinking holy matrimony.

You might be thinking how to pay bills, He already has that blessing with your name on it. He thinks higher than we do. He thinks more of us than we do of ourselves and even sometimes of Him. His love is deep calling deep and deeper still.  His Spirit searches deep things from His heart mind and puts them into ours, but we must accept the gifts He so freely gives.

His gifts and callings He never will accept back at a refund counter.  So freely give and freely receive this holiday season, the greatest of these is love and the greatest of the is Jesus. Rebecca Jones
