Season’s Greetings and Happy Holidays may have become the greetings that replaced Merry Christmas for some but not all. Personally, I don’t have a problem, I can say all three. And though winter holidays may have replaced Christmas break, I’m not easily offended by that. If someone chooses to miss out the celebrations of our Lord Jesus Christ, it is their loss. And for people who worry about Xmas, it is simply the Greek letter for the name of Christ.
The focus of the season should always be the reason for the season, Jesus. Love was laying in a manger, love that came to die so we might live in His eternal presence as believers. Joy was born, angels rejoiced. Peace was on earth in the form of an infant.
Love, joy and peace… the simple message of Christ. It is something that will never be taken out of Christmas.
