No Black Friday

If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in you heart that God raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. Romans 10:9

People are already out shopping on black Friday.  If you are not in the United States and familiar with that term, it’s a name for the Friday after Thanksgiving when crowds will trample over you to get a deal on their shopping.  I like shopping. I like deals.  But that’s not my idea of fun. I’m a planner.  Shopping all year long is a good idea and you’re prepared.

So I’m not as fond of Black Friday as most, the idea was a good way to describe the dark days facing those who do not know the Lord Jesus. If you do not know that Jesus died for you and loves you, you would have many black days ahead including eternity.

Though we all have our dark moments, facing illness, job losses, just life in general. Jesus has made a way for us to bring the light of His love into our hearts. He will always be there to help us overcome any obstacle. Invite Him into your life, begin to pray and study His Word.  He will guide you by His Spirit, ask Him to give you His Holy Spirit and your prayer language.  Jesus loves you and He is Lord.

No more talk of dark days or Black Fridays, Jesus is our light. Rebecca Jones
