Like a snow-cooled drink at harvest time is a trustworthy messenger to the one who sends him; he refreshes the spirit of his master. Proverbs 23:19
Did you know it was possible to refresh the Lord? If we are believers, then we are the trustworthy messengers of His gospel. The disciples often referred to Him as Rabbi or teacher. Who would have thought that we would be as refreshing to Him as He is to us?
Times of refreshing come from quiet time alone with the Lord. Spend time praying, praising and worshiping Him, just tell Him how thankful you are or how much you love Him, pray in the Spirit. If you cannot, it is a gift He will give you, a powerful one.
Jesus would tell his disciples, that He had meat to eat, He meant words and wisdom from His Father. He wasn’t always on a fast or even avoiding them. He enjoyed time alone with His Father, and He equally loved refreshing people, like the woman at the well. He was sitting on it, but He was the living water that refreshed.
He loves for us to include Him in our day, He takes great joy in His children, the really obedient ones, will need refreshing, He can fill our cup of joy and overflow it, and we will pour back into His.
