Worship the Lord in the beauty of His holiness…Psalm 96:9
His desire is for us to know the love of God. The beauty of His holiness was a secret place under the shadow of the Almighty. A shadow cast by the Ark of the Covenant, as cherub wings were hit by the sun, and no doubt, the glory. It was in the Holy of Holies, the mercy seat. that could only be approached the priest on the Day of Atonement. It was veiled, He went in and offered the blood sacrifice, they even tied a rope around His leg, just in case he was in sin and died.
Enter Jesus Christ, the one and only Atonement, holy enough, to complete that sacrifice forever. The veil was rent, we can enter the Holy of Holies and worship Him in His glory, free of fear that our sin is not covered, He made us worthy. We can stand in the constant shadow of the Almighty, real angel wings enfolding round us, confident in Him, not ourselves. He is altogether lovely. He is radiant in the beauty of holiness…His splendor is all encompassing. He is pure love. He deserves pure worship. He delights in pure praise. On your knees, on your face, or in the beauty of graceful dance. worship the Prince of Peace.
